Maquarie University has been trying to close MUPRA down for the past year, because it doesn't want independent student representation on campus. As part of its actions, the University has been trying very hard to make it all but impossible for MUPRA to offer postgraduate students the range of services, events and facilities MUPRA has provided in the past.
If you believe there should be an independent voice for postgraduate students on campus, please sign the petition now.
MUPRA exists to advance and defend the interests of the 11,000+ postgraduate students who study at Macquarie. All Macquarie postgraduates are entitled to MUPRA's services. Whether you’re doing coursework or research and whether you’re a domestic or international student, we are here to support you.
We are an independent student association with a fifteen member committee. MUPRA supports you through fulfilling three key functions:
We also represent the interests of postgraduate students at Macquarie by making submissions to the federal and state government and liaising with relevant bodies outside the university.
